This roadster is a true barn find. It had been in a barn in Maine for an estimated 50 years. My two teenage boys and I took it completely apart and went through it with the goal of building a late 1940's style T.R.O.G. racer. We did a refresh of the Banger motor. It's .080 over with a Jim Brierley 'C' grind cam, new valve springs, lightened flywheel, high compression head, 1939 transmission with clings adapter, and original modified 'B' downdraft intake with a Holley 94 carb. Mallory Dual-Point distributor. Okie Joe 4" drop axle with original mechanical brakes with cast drums and floaters. We upgraded the generator to 12v. by replacing the fields. Lots of other period correct(ish) modifications. It's a super fun car. I drive it often. We love how it can squeal the tires off the line :-)
